God's many gifts to Egypt . It has been blessed with a gorgeous climate,
breathtaking scenery of purple - brown mountains, doe - eyed animals, silvery
beaches made for lazing on or strolling along, and seas surely designed
for divers . If you have any time for sightseeing, then there are any number
of sights to take in, not the least among them St. Catherine's Monastery,
built in the sixth century by the Emperor Justinian and containing the
world's oldest collection of Coptic archives . The Coloured Canyon's name fails to live up the sheer splendour of the
place . Almost too narrow to walk through this pass is a glorious mass
of minerals that give off jewel - like colours . And if you like that,
then try Ain Khudra, a lush oasis surrounded by an exquisite collection
of pastel coloured rocks, in delicate huse of pinks, blues, whites yellows
and reds . And of course we cannot say enough about the deep sea fishing in the
area . The International and National Fishing tournaments in Hurghada
bring in people from every corner of the world . And if you are the type
that prefers to enjoy the water rather than spend time pulling things out
of it, then you can indulge yourself to the full . Particularly if you
enjoy diving . the waters off Ras Mohammed have been described by
Jacques Cousteau as the finest spot in the world . The coral reefs teem
with lifeforms that you might only ever have seen in the pages of a book,
several of them being indigenous to the Red Sea . From the tiny goldfish
to the Massive Napoleon Wrasse, that can attain a length of six feet, the
life form are breath taking on view . If you are the more romantically adventurous type, then you must try camping at an Oasis . El Kharga and El Dakhla are both beautiful oases with the kind of barren beauty that is still unspoiled by excessive exploitation . Egypt, we find, tends to suit everybody's mood, there really is something for everybody .
